Here's a small taster of what I've been getting up to this holidays so far... enjoy!

A little more on colaborations...

How do these two manage to keep straight faces? Although, I'm not sure that I would call it art. Maybe more drama? I guess that drama is a form of THE arts but not art in its rawest form. I'm still on the fence about it, they are fantastic to watch but I wouldn't call it art myself.

Inspiration

I'm pondering then, on the letter 'T'. What can I do with it? Where does it start and where does it stop?

Wikipedia - T ( /ˈtiː/; named tee)[1] is the twentieth letter in the basic modern Latin alphabet. It is the most commonly used consonant and the second most common letter in the English language

I can photograph the letter in and around the environment or I could photograph elements that begin with the letter 'T'. This could bring in more of an illustration thread for me. Things such as trees, tractors and telegraph poles. There are also less obvious forms of 'T', for example the skyline of a building may have a cross section that looks like a T.

It has been decided that we will each take a letter from the word 'type' and photograph it out and about. Rather than trying to force an idea, we will play around with our letter and see where the adventure takes us. As we are not in the studio it would be great to really get a feel for the brief and get stuck into something completely different compared to what we are used to.

I have even found a 't' (my letter) that has fallen off a shop front, so obviously I gave it a proper home rather than leaving it on the street to freeze. What a good Samartian I am :)

My idea for now is to take my 't' on a journey and photograph it in all manner of places although I do still like the idea of forming the letter out of natural materials such as leaves and food.
